Why get your chimney swept?

Creosote is acidic and can corrode connectors, steel and mortar. Creosote deposits can reduce flow capacity and cause smoking problems or blockages. Creosote must be often removed in order to properly inspect the system. Common factors that create creosote are smoke density, flue gas temperature, smoke residence time, large fuel loads, the moisture content of the wood, and the size of the wood.

I Have been living in the Stroudsburg area for over 5 years now. I’m a city boy and didn’t know that any dead trees around my house should have been cut down immediately. Well I learned the hard way when not once but twice dead tree branches … More broke off and fell on my roof causing damage and water leaks. Another instance we had squirrels get into our roof also. All three times this happened Austin from Roofing by Bruce went above and beyond for me. He came over within the day and did emergency repairs for me. Even tho he was busy with work he squeezed me in once he found out it was an emergency. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the area. My wife and myself have been very satisfied with the service and the work that has been done. We plan on using them again to make what should be final repairs to our roof hopefully this summer.
